Team Leader Hydrometrics

 

Location: Manly Hydraulics Laboratory (Manly Vale), hybrid working supported

 

Type: Ongoing full-time – 35 hours per week

Job summary:

Are you a proven team leader in environmental data and hydrography, ready to drive impactful programs across government and industry?

 

Manly Hydraulics Laboratory is seeking to appoint a Team Leader Hydrometrics in an ongoing capacity to lead a high-performing team, deliver complex stakeholder programs, and shape the future of hydrometric services. Both people management and hydrometric experience are required.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team to deliver nationally significant technical and innovative professional services to meet client needs - in water quality, flow, tidal, floodplain and meteorological measurement.

 

About You:

 

You will bring:

•              Demonstrated experience leading teams in a professional services environment: providing direction, inspiration, technical oversight and feedback to team members to achieve project outcomes.

•              Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

•              Proven ability to manage large projects and programs with multiple stakeholders

•              Significant expertise in hydrography and environmental data, recognised by client organisations.

•              Experience in technology appraisal, selection, deployment and application in key measurement fields.

•              A collaborative approach to working with government agencies, such as the Bureau of Meteorology, DCCEEW, local councils, and the broader water industry.

 

Essential requirements:

 

•              A professional engineering or environmental science degree with relevant experience, or other relevant qualifications.

•              A valid NSW Driver's Licence and willingness and ability to drive and travel by air and road to remote locations, which may include overnight stays.
