Kindred Event: International Nordic Hydrometry Workshop 2024

Sunday 22 September, 2024-Friday 27 September 2024

The aim of the Nordic International Hydrometry Workshop is to increase the collaboration between hydrometric agencies around the world and the organizing committee hereby welcomes you to attend this event.

The Nordic International Hydrometry Workshop of 2024 is taking place on the 22-27th of September 2024. The workshop of 2024 is hosted by the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute in Norrköping. This also marks the ten-year anniversary of the workshop and a return to the venue of the first workshop. Since then, it has been hosted in Norway, Iceland, Online and in Scotland.

There is no conference fee associated for participating in the conference, however travel and lodging is expected to be paid for by the participant.

While the final programme is yet to be determined it relies upon participants to present and share both current and future developments in the field of hydrology and hydrometry. There will be ample time for discussions and smaller workshops focusing on a diverse array of topics.

This year we would like to devote some time and focus on the “normal operations” side of hydrometry and delve deeper into the fundamental tools and context of a hydrometrist e.g. a comparison between a “normal” gauging station across several agencies, QA/QC of time series or field work organization.

The preliminary programme can be found below, it can and will be subject to change.
