		<description>As a description, I think measuring falls a bit short, but can't offer a better alternative.  Something like "assessing" or "quantifying" or "evaluating" describes what we do better I think  - these days we go a lot further than simply measuring.  None of these words roll off the tongue too well though.

Yes we are good at measuring and monitoring other things - we have been an adaptable profession over the years taking on new challenges in the monitoring sphere, but this has been borne out of our water resource measuring experences and expertise. "Australia's Water Resources' aren't necessarily just our rivers, groundwater and dams - stormwater, sewearge and their byproducts are increasingly being seen as an assett to be utilised in alternative ways - in effect another potential Water Resource for Australia. - Mic</description>
