After deliberation by the Conference Conveners this afternoon, the winner of the 2010 Australian Hydrographers’ Association Photo Competition has been decided.

I would like to congratulate Edward Sloane from Thiess Services on winning this Competition, and receiving a complimentary Registration at the AHA Conference here in Perth Western Australia. Edward’s photo of the Otway weir in the Victorian Otway Ranges, was chosen not only for it’s photographic quality, but also the close linkage to the Conference theme.

The Conveners have received thirty photographs from a small group of members which depicted a wide variety of sites, and hydrographic activities across not just Australia, but other international locations.

On behalf of the Conference Conveners I would like to thank the other entrants for their photographs, which will be on display in the Exhibition area of the Conference in two weeks time.

Regards

Michael Whiting
Secretary – Australian Hydrographers Association
