The FAQ links to the left cover many of the questions people ask about being a hydrographer and how to join the Australian Hydrographers Association.
Hydrographers fall into two basic categories:
- Terrestrial or land based, or
- Oceanic — Marine.
The Australian Hydrographers Association primarily exists for Terrestrial Hydrographers/Field Hydrologists, though many of its members work in the surface water/oceanographic interface in tidal estuaries and inshore projects and programs.
